Burdock Root Extract |
| When the liver becomes overloaded
and is unable to keep up with the task of detoxification, toxins may seek
another route out of the body through the skin. Burdock is an excellent ally
for those with skin ailments.
Compositae, such as Burdock,
Elecampane and Echinacea, generally store their carbohydrates in the form
of inulin. This is the milky sediment in the bottom of the jar of Burdock
extract. Inulin helps stabilize blood sugar levels. Be sure to shake the
bottle before using. |
| Burdock is a common biennial
with famous Velcro- like burrs. It is cultivated locally and in the orient
for food and known as gobo. Use fresh burdock root steamed or in stir-fries
with onion, carrot, dandelion root, garlic and ginger.
